CBD Sanctuary Coffee Review
CBD coffee is a completely new concept to me especially as I'm not the biggest coffee drinker. That's not to say that I don't like coffee, I just usually prefer a cup of tea. However, that's not to say that I don't enjoy coffee so being able to try one with CBD was very exciting.
The first thing I noticed with CBD Sanctuary's coffee is just how good it smells, it's rich and earthy but with sweet undertones too. If you're a coffee aficionado, CBD Sanctuary uses Tanzanian arabica coffee beans which are grown on the volcanic soils of Mount Kilimanjaro. This is combination with hemp extract are the only two ingredients in this coffee. In terms of CBD content, the entire sachet contains 200mg of CBD in total, (around 15-20 cups of coffee, depending on how strong you like it) with each cup containing roughly 15-20mg of CBD.
Whilst this coffee can be brewed depending on preference, CBD Sanctuary recommend to brew their coffee in a cafetiere/French press and to not use paper filters as they can absorb the oil which the CBD is contained. I let this brew for 3-4 minutes before drinking. The most noticeable part about this coffee is just how smooth it is, it tastes just as good with or without your choice of milk (I tried this with semi-skimmed and almond) and has no harsh or bitter aftertaste. I'll also add that I made a cup of this for mum who is a daily drinker of coffee and a self-proclaimed coffee snob and she said it was delicious... and we both agreed there was no hemp taste whilst or after drinking this.
However, flavour of the coffee aside, I'm sure you're wondering about the CBD side of this review. Within half an hour of drinking this, I felt noticeably calmer and relaxed but at the same time my brain also seemed clearer and more focused. Furthermore, on the days I drank this coffee I also felt my anxiety was reduced and noticed that at the end of what had been an incredibly long day I had significantly less aches and pains that I usually would.
If you're a daily coffee drinker and want to combine that with CBD, this is an excellent choice, especially due to the fact that the coffee itself is of a high quality.
CBD Sanctuary coffee is currently £23.95 per 200mg pouch but a 50g taster bag is available for £6.45.
