Goodness gracious (see what I did there?) this balm came into my life at exactly the right moment. Last week I had one of the worst sciatica flare ups I've ever had. That isn't hyperbole either, it was so bad that I actually said to my other half that I'd rather deal with an endometriosis flare up. Honestly, it was horrific. I couldn't walk, I couldn't sleep and I felt utterly broken.
However, I won't dwell on that all too long because this superstar balm came to my rescue just when I needed it to. I'd already had the pleasure of reviewing GGG Dry Skin CBD Balm and loved it, so my expectations of this balm were pretty high before I'd even used it.
This balm is mustard yellow in colour and like the dry skin balm, be mindful of letting it sink in so that it doesn't accidentally stain your clothes. (I managed to do this in my sciatic fuelled daze but it did come out in the wash!) The inclusion of turmeric is what makes this balm so brilliant for inflamed muscles and joints as well as the fact that this balm contains a whopping 1125mg of CBD. I had to double check to make sure that wasn't a typo! This balm also contains a mixture of essential oils (such as eucalyptus and black pepper) and butters (such as shea and avocado) which all help to hydrate and soothe your skin and muscles.
So, back to my sciatica attack.
Within twenty minutes of applying this balm, it had provided enough relief that I was not only able to weight bear onto my affected leg, I was also able to walk (albeit rather slowly) without needing to hold onto every nearby surface. I have to admit that considering the severe amount of pain I was in, I found this balm to be pretty effing amazing. Furthermore, a few days later when I my left ovarian cyst was giving me trouble, I applied this again and it had the same effect. No pain, and pain relief that lasted for a few hours before I needed to reapply it.
This is going to be a definite repurchase for me and a must if you've found lower strength CBD topicals to be meh when dealing with your pain.
