Following my laparoscopy in October, it had actually been awhile since I have used a daily tincture as I had played it safe to avoid any reactions with my pain medications. However, I'd been looking forward to try Life Spark's as I really enjoyed using their body salve and was intrigued by the reviews on their website saying that despite this oil was unflavoured, it didn't have a hemp taste to it.
And as I've said before, I'll tolerate the hemp taste for a good product but if I can avoid it, I will.
So, are the reviews true, was this finally a unflavoured oil without the hemp taste? Yes, yes, yes! Like, I was actually slightly gobsmacked by this. To the point that I double checked the bottle to make sure that it was definitely a CBD oil. If you don't like the taste of CBD, flavoured CBD or anything artificially flavoured this oil is for you just for the taste (or lack of) alone.
Life Spark's CBD oil is THC free, broad spectrum and uses an organically grown CBD and an organic coconut MCT for it's carrier oil. The lack of taste results from the fact that they use an extraction process which removes unwanted waxes and chlorophyll from the CBD whilst leaving in the natural cannabinoids, terpenes, flavonoids and phytonutrients that come from the hemp plant. Basically, all the nasty stuff is removed and all the good stuff remains!
As I said above, I started using this after a few weeks of not using a tincture and I definitely noticed a difference in both my physical and mental health. I took a 1ml of this oil in the morning (33mg) and then another in the evening; it's also really easy to measure your doses as this pipette comes with a ml scale on the side.
A week after starting to use this, I had a particularly stressful week at work when my anxiety was through the roof and my bloating had been non-stop. This oil helped to calm my nerves and keep my OCD in check. Regarding my bloating, after half an hour of taking this oil, my bloating definitely eased and became far less painful. On another day when I had bloating and sciatic nerve pain (oh the joys of my body!) I took a third pipette and that was enough to reduce said sciatic pain to a barely there ache.
Overall this oil really impressed me and lived up to the high standard set by their body salve, I'll definitely be reusing this in the future. I should also mention that it's available in 500mg, 1000mg, 2000mg and 3000mg strengths in both 10ml and 30ml sizes.
