You may remember me talking about Voice of Nature in this review about their strong CBD oil and the fact that I was incredibly impressed not only by the product but the ethos of the company itself. With that in mind, you're probably not going to be surprised that I was equally as impressed by their CBD recovery balm.
Arriving in the same compostable packaging that the strong oil arrived in (with a small note to explain it was to reduce waste!), the actual pot that houses the balm is swankyyyy and I love it. What's even more impressive is that the pot itself is made from wood chips are from sustainable certified wood and natural resins meaning it's plastic free, fully compostable and has a low carbon footprint. Personally, I think I'll repurpose the pot because it's cute (in my opinion).
The balm contains 600mg of CBD and is made from 100% natural, simple ingredients such as shea butter, coconut oil, mango seed butter, hemp seed oil as well as Vitamin A and E which means it's incredibly moisturising. The formula itself spreads easily once warmed up and I found it best to place some on my hands to warm it and then apply wherever necessary. Once applied, it sunk in quickly with no residue.
I used this balm in a number of different ways depending on how I was feeling and found it was pretty consistent in terms of managing any aches or pains that I had. I primarily started using this on my lower back to ease my sciatica pain and the back contractions caused by my angry uterus. Within half an hour of applying this balm both had eased significantly to the point that I could go back to my day as if nothing had happened.
I also used this balm post workout when I found my muscles were sore, aching and in need of some desperate TLC. In the past when I've done an intense workout I usually find that I ache for about 2 days before the pain subsides, however, when using VoN's balm, I realised by body recovered much quicker, with the aches and pains only lasting a day at most.
Overall, I really liked the versatility of this balm as well as the fact that a little of it went a long way; Voice of Nature have created a high quality balm which I will reach for time and time again.
