As you may or may not know, I had my second laparoscopy on the 19th October and since then my whole body has ached on a daily basis. Whilst I'm aware that this pain fades, I couldn't wait to have a long soak in the bathtub and benefit from an additional boost of CBD to try and speed the process up.
This 500g bag of bath salts allows you to tailor your CBD bath salt needs accordingly (as in, the more you pour into the bath, the higher the amount of CBD in said bath) which for me with all my aches, pains and bruising was wonderful. I'm lucky to have a fairly deep bathtub and therefore I used roughly half a bag, equalling about 100mg of CBD. And in case you were wondering, CBD bath salts work in the same way as CBD bath bombs; the hot water of a bath opens up your pores which allows the CBD to enter the bloodstream.
When poured into my lovely hot bath, they turned the water an inviting milky colour. However, for me, the best part about having a bath is the smell and these bath salts smell amazing. Not too overpowering or sweet, the scent of the lavender, patchouli and mandarin essential oils lasted on my skin all day and the addition of chamomile definitely helped soothe my tender incision sites which was a lovely bonus!
It took around twenty minutes for me to feel the benefit of the CBD in these bath salts but I noticeably felt the tension in my shoulders and lower back subside as well as calming down my uterine spasms. These effects lasted for the better part of the day and I didn't need to take any over the counter painkillers until the evening (10 hours after having my bath) which considering I'd had invasive surgery days prior, was incredibly impressive.
Overall I really liked these bath salts and was thankful to have them during my recovery from surgery. I really liked that you could choose your preference for CBD depending on the needs of your body and that Haus of 420 make that easy to understand and do.
Haus Of 420's Stress Melting Bath Salts are £29.00 for 500g.
