You know when they say that appearances can be deceiving? This is certainly the case for Life Spark's CBD Salve! Tucked away in a small tin, this salve packs a punch when applied. What's also nice about this packaging is that it's only slightly bigger than a lip balm tin and as a result you can easily keep it in your bag (or wherever really!) without it taking up too much space or being cumbersome.
One thing in particular that I liked about this product is that Life Spark takes the guess work out of choosing which strength to purchase as they provide clear guidance detailing what each strength is suitable for. I was gifted the 500mg salve but it's also available in 1000mg, 1500mg and 3000mg strengths depending on your aforementioned needs. What it is also important to note is that the majority of lower strength topical CBD products contain only 300mg so I knew I would get faster results in comparison with topicals I've used in the past.
In addition to the varying broad spectrum CBD strengths, this salve also contains eucalyptus which soothes and cools and lavender which is known for its calming and anti-inflammatory properties. Both definitely worked in conjunction with the CBD to help ease my muscular pain as well as helping me to relax and ease any tension I was holding in my body.
On a 'normal' day I will often have sciatic and shoulder pain by the time I've finished work and this salve nipped said pain in the bud before it had even gotten a chance to take hold. The formula of this salve is firm and I found that it was easiest to get out of the pot by 'scooping' it (I used a mini spatula as well as digging into it with my finger) as rubbing it onto your fingers didn't pick enough of the product up, especially if you needed to cover a large area such as your shoulder.
However, that being said, this salve spreads really easily once warmed up and a little does go a long way. Once applied I found it took a minute to sink into my skin and left no residue or stickiness whatsoever; the coconut MCT base also provided the added benefit of moisturising my skin too. When this salve kicked in, it did so really quickly, with my pain easing/disappearing within fifteen minutes. The slightly higher strength also meant that I didn't have to apply it as often with the pain relief lasting for around an hour to an hour and a half.
